Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America

The mission of CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) is to strengthen the capacity of community coalitions to create and maintain safe, healthy and drug-free communities globally. This is accomplished by providing technical assistance and training, public policy advocacy, media strategies and marketing programs, training and special events.

Washington Breathes

Washington Breathes is a statewide coalition of diverse organizations and individuals working to eliminate the harmful use of commercial tobacco and other nicotine products.

NEWESD 101 – Student Support Services

The mission of the Center for Student Support Services is to strengthen schools and communities by preparing individuals for successful and healthy futures through education, skill building and community connections. To this end, the Center offers services, programs and resources to assist schools in assuring students come to school ready to learn and have a safe learning environment.

Rural Network

The Rural Network is a group of volunteers and leaders across Washington building resiliency and safeguarding youth. The Rural Network is an initiative of Prevent, funded by the Commercial Cannabis & Tobacco Prevention Program (YCCTPP) of the Washington State Department of Health. Huge support comes from the fiscal agent, Educational Service District 112 (ESD 112).

Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids

The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and the Tobacco-Free Kids Action Fund are theleading advocacy organizations working to reduce tobacco use and its deadlyconsequences in the United States and around the world.

Flavors Hook Kids Washington

Flavored tobacco products, especially e-cigarettes, have addicted a new generation of kids and threaten to reverse the decades-long progress Washington has made in reducing youth tobacco use. Eight out of ten kids who have used tobacco started with a flavored product. Washington can protect kids by ending the sale of all flavored tobacco products, one of the most promising ways to prevent the industry from addicting our kids.

Washington State Healthy Youth Survey

The Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) is a collaborative effort of the Health Care Authority – Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR), the Department of Health (DOH), the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB), and the contractor, Looking Glass Analytics. The HYS invites youth in Washington state to share about their wellbeing, behaviors, attitudes, community and school experiences, and more.

SRHD – Commercial Tobacco, Vaping & Youth Cannabis Programs

The Commercial Tobacco, Vaping and Youth Cannabis Prevention Program works to reduce the use of tobacco, vape and cannabis products among youth. The program focuses on efforts to prevent youth from starting to use and encouraging individuals who currently use to quit. Staff also enforce the laws and regulations that protect people from secondhand smoke and vape exposure. This program is funded by the Washington State Department of Health.

Drug-Free Communities

The Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program is the nation’s leading effort to mobilize communities to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth. Created in 1997 by the Drug-Free Communities Act, administered by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), and now managed by CDC, the DFC Program provides grants to community coalitions to strengthen the infrastructure among local partners to create and sustain a reduction in local youth substance use. Currently, ONDCP funds more than 700 community coalitions across the country in all 50 states. DFC grant recipients are awarded up to $125,000 per year, including West Spokane Wellness Partnership and Shadle Prevention Wellness Coalition service areas.
